As a breeder, international judge and a professional in the Arabian horse world, I am deeply concerned by the recent actions in Poland regarding the dismissals of Anna Stojanowska, Jerzy Bialobok and Marek Trela. Specifically, in the last twenty years, Poland has become a leading country for producing World and European Champions. In addition, and equal in importance, it has made significant contributions to some of the most highly esteemed breeding programs in the world. Due to generations of intensely selective breeding methods by dedicated and knowledgeable experts, Poland is a major treasure source for world class Arabian horses.
The directors of Janów Podlaski and Michałów Stud, as well as Anna Stojanowska, are internationally respected experts serving as judges, instructors and officials in WAHO and ECAHO. Experience and knowledge should not be lost, but rather, cherished and passed on to future generations, as has been the Polish tradition. I urge the consideration for the reinstatement of Anna Stojanowska, Jerzy Bialobok and Marek Trela. All three individuals have given so much of their lives to the advancement of one of the most influential and important breeding programs in the world.
